| 2011 USATF XC and Asics Grand Prix
The 2011 USATF cross-country championships were trapped in Los angeles, California. New Hampshire resident (Hanover) Ben True was 5th. Colleen De Reuck and Pete McGill won the men's and womens master's races respectively. Vaughn would have been a surprise winner after he previously suddenly dropped right out the USA half Marathon Championships in Houseton a single week earlier. The IAAF World X-country Championships is going to be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Puna Umbra, Spain.
American record holder Alan Webb returned to action on the mile on the Asics Grand Prix in Boston, MA last month 5thas well. Webb ran a disappointing 4:00.70 and expressed his frustration within the post race interview (see video) . The race was won by Russell Brown during an impressive 3:54.81 whilst outran a tough field including Nick Willis, Will Leer, Garret Heath, and Leo Manzano. Graduation Phenom Lukas Verzbicas also fell in immediate need of running the 2ndever indoor subfour minute mile finishing in 4:03.88.
